Extended Schools and School Clubs

At St Cuthberts, we cater for working or busy parents by providing extended schools between the hours of 7.45am and 5.30pm for children from age three.

Breakfast Club

All pupils are welcome to attend breakfast club from 7.45am.  Healthy breakfast, help with homework, internet access, games, fun and much more.

 

Breakfast Club Charges

The cost is £3.50 for the first child and £2.50 for additional children from the same family.  Regular or occasional days available at short notice. The charge includes breakfast.


Children arriving between 8.25 and 8.45 there is a charge of £1 which doesn't include breakfast

 

After School Club

The club is run by members of staff each day from 3.30-5.30pm.  Children will take part in enjoyable activities, play and be provided with a healthy snack. 

 

After School Club Charges

The cost of a session from 3.30-5.30pm is £8 or £5 if attending from 3.30-4.30pm. This charge includes a snack. There are no concessions for additional children from the same family.

 

Booking

Places can be booked in advance for both clubs but there is usually an option to arrange care at short notice, subject to availability. To book a place please call Angela Lumley at the School Office on 01423 711407.


Payment

Payment should be made in advance, weekly, monthly or half-termly, using Parent Pay, and childcare vouchers can be used as full or part payment.  If you prefer you can pay by cheque. Cheques should be made payable to St Cuthbert's School.  Any outstanding payments must be settled by the end of each calendar month.

Stay and Play Sessions

St Cuthbert's Primary offer 'Stay and Play' sessions for pre-school children.

 

Come and explore the wide range of opportunities on offer in our large spacious indoor and outdoor classrooms. Our children share the classroom with 11 reception age children who nurture and care for the younger children. All families are welcome to attend regardless of the Primary School they are thinking of attending in the future.

 

Stay and Play sessions run from 10am through to 11.30 am and will be held on the following dates.

  • Tuesday 16 January 9.30—11.00am
  • Thursday 8 March 1.30—3.00pm
  • Wednesday 16 May 9.30—11.00am

If you would like more information please contact Ang Lumley the Business Manager in the school office or just come along to meet our Early Years team on any or all of the dates above. The entrance for ‘Stay and Play’ will be clearly signposted from the main school gate—we look forward to meeting you.

 

School Clubs

Our clubs include Band, Choir, Sports Clubs, Chess Club, Art and Textiles Club, Dance Club,Cookery Club, Geology club, Cheer Leading, Zumba and running club. Our sports teams achieve regular success in local competitions, including football, rugby, cricket, cycling, swimming, crown green bowling, rounders and athletics. Our choir has performed at the Harrogate International Centre, Late Night Shopping and St Cuthbert’s Christmas Fair. We encourage older pupils to cycle to school and offer a cycle training course for Year 5 and 6 children.

 

Many clubs are run on a voluntary basis by staff and parents and may change half termly.

Details of the clubs running in the Spring term 2018 will be confirmed at the start of term.
