Physical Education

Physical Education takes place twice a week and all children participate in a variety of indoor and outdoor sports.  The school has its own large sports field situated a short walk from the school where a variety of sport such as the annual sports day, rounders, athletics, running and much more takes place.

Swimming

Swimming sessions take place throughout the year.  The children enjoy the short walk to the Nidderdale Leisure Centre where they are coached by trained instructors.  The children work towards recognised swimming awards and take place in swimming galas.

Extra-curricular sports

The children have the opportunity to take part in a wider selection of sports, outside the curriculum, provided by specialist trained teacher and coaches through out the week.  Children also take part in a variety of competitions in school, within the cluster and within the Harrogate partnership through out the year.

Sports Captains

These are the sports captains for the year.  We have a captain for each of our four school teams.  They are responsible for organising and supporting their teams on sports day and intra sporting competitions.
